In a September 12, 2011 Report to Mayor Hurst and Members of Council from Lou Zarlenga, the recommendation was that Council approve the engagement of Dr. Norm Becker, P.Eng, to conduct the comprehensive flooding investigation for the August 9, 2011 rainfall event and subsequent flooding.

October 25 –  An engineer will not be hired to investigate what caused more than 500 homes to flood during a severe storm in August; Amherstburg staff will study preventative measures. Full story at CBC News.
