In response to an inquiry from the burg watch, Madeline McEachern, Communications Officer for the Greater Essex County District School Board emailed the following:

“We have reviewed the school visit you referenced and determined that established guidelines and procedures were not followed.

The school has been advised that the appropriate protocols were not adhered to, and we requested that the photographs from the visit be removed from social media. We can confirm that the photographs have since been removed.

A reminder will be sent to staff this week reinforcing the Board’s position regarding the distribution of campaign materials in schools during an election period.”
